In 1942, in New York, Bertolt Brecht was writing his play Antigone.
Seventy years later, during the Occupy Wall Street social uprising, the city revisits the ancient story of Antigone’s revolt. Through public readings by its residents, New York is likened to Sophocles’ Thebes in turmoil.

Soixante-dix ans plus tard, dans un contexte de soulèvement social du mouvement Occupy Wall Street, la ville rejoue l'histoire ancienne de la révolte d'Antigone. À travers la lecture d'extraits par ses habitant.e.s, la ville est comparée à la Thèbes de Sophocle en révolte.
