Gabrielle Le Bayon lives and works in Paris.
Gabrielle Le Bayon is an artist filmmaker whose films and installations question myths and how they resonate today. Through a non-hierarchical assemblage of images and sounds, which she records or collects from archives, Le Bayon explores our desire for an emancipated and poetic community. Her work considers the zones of resistance in our daily environment and the interactions that result from them.

Exhibitions and screenings include : Modern Art Museum (Buenos Aires), International Women’s Film Festival (Dortmund/Köln), MOCA (Hiroshima), SB34 (Brussels), 53 Beck Road (London), Apdv (Paris), Aesthetica Film Festival (York), W139 (Amsterdam).

Fellowships and residencies include : FIDLab (Marseille), Feature Expanded - European Artist Film Program (UK/IT), Loop Discover Award (Barcelona), Civitella Ranieri Visual Art Fellowship (US/IT).

Le Bayon received a MFA from the Royal College of Art and a BA in Cinema from the London College of Communication, University of the Arts. She is currently teaching at Cinémathèque Française and she has previously taught at American University of Paris, (2016-2018).

Her work is represented by 6x6 Project, London.

Le travail de cinéaste de Gabrielle Le Bayon interroge les mythes et la façon dont ils résonnent aujourd'hui. À travers un assemblage non hiérarchique d'images et de sons, qu’elle enregistre ou collecte dans des archives, ses films explorent notre désir d’une communauté émancipée et poétique. Son travail envisage les zones de résistance dans notre environnement quotidien et les interactions qui en découlent.
